All players with a FIDE identity number, regardless of age, nationality or gender, are admitted.
5 rounds for each of the three tournaments (Open A, Open B and Open C), Swiss-System.
Technical tie-breaks criteria: 1. Buchholz Cut-1, 2. Buchholz Median-1, 3. Buchholz Median-1, 4. Arranz (draw: 0.4 as white, 0.6 as black), 5. Sonneborn-Berger, 6. Number of wins, 7. Direct encounter, 8. Number of games played as black, 9. Lottery draw
Players with rating less than 100 points below the bottom bracket of a higher group can choose to register for the higher category tournament if they wish (i.e. a player with FIDE rating 1950 can register for Open B or Open A; a player with FIDE rating 1450 can register for Open C or Open B).
All tournament groups will be FIDE rated.
Players can request a half-point forfeit for the first round only if the request is made before the tournament starts (before pairing for the first round).
In the competition area it is forbidden to use mobile phones and other electronic devices unless they are approved by the tournament director.
The player who does not arrive at the board within 60 minutes from the start of the game will lose the match.
Although not covered by these Regulations, FIDE rules in force on the date of the event apply. Registration implies acceptance of them, as well as of these tournament Regulations.
